Romance never gets old. We are after all social beings, in love with love. You and me is a short film by Jack Tew. It gives an aerial view (literally!) of a relationship.
The film simply gives us the life and death of a relationship. The room forms an essential part of the story as it gets a life of its own and goes through the stages of the relationship. From a bright and happy place to a morose, disorganised mess until the occupant decides it’s time to move on and clear up the mess.
The camera work is clever and makes it one of the most ingenuous films I’ve watched lately. Paired with minimal dialogues, two characters and a room as the setting, the film is a 7 minutes 23 secs watch that is relatable.
